California Division of the State Architect
The California Division of State Architect provides design and construction oversight for K-12 schools and community colleges throughout California.  Playground equipment on schools is not regulated by the DSA but they continue to try to impose requirements for surfacing materials and access.  The regulations of the DSA do not apply to playgrounds that are not on school sites.  This site monitors the activities of the DSA and provides information about current DSA activity related to playgrounds on school sites.
